Today's run was a bit of a struggle after yesterday's bike ride, but it was still a very nice 4.5 mile base run (8:20 pace). Sunny, mid 50's. Now...time to stretch and take an ice bath.
I biked on Saturday and ran on Sunday. Not the best feeling running the day after a long ride. The weather is improving though so we really can't complain about being out there doing it.
Thanks Erin! I'm training for the bike leg of a tri this August (part of a team), but my heart is more into running. But I do think I've hit on a good formula for me, given how many nagging running injuries I've had over the years. Even after the tri is over, I'll probably incorporate cycling into my training (maybe do a duathlon?). Good luck with your training and thanks again for stopping by!
